GENTLE AND REDUCED STRESS HANDLING AND HARVESTING OF LAND

Based farmed salmon (RAS)

SOLUTION

Several fish pumps in various sizes

The fish is passing via grading machines for size selection before taken further into the RAS.

Our solution to the full fish handling systems is based on several fish pumps in various sizes (from 6” to 12”). In some of the fish transfer, the fish is passing via grading machines for size selection before taken further into the RAS. In all cases, the pumps are set up for achieving the optimum fish welfare – especially concerning suction heads.

In general, with shortest possible distance on the discharge side, allowing for the absolute constant and laminar flow on the suction side, leading to various beneficial factors concerning fish welfare, especially the reduced crowding needed in the RAS-tanks. But also leading to less activity and by that less glycogen consumption, which, has an impact on the quality at the final stage, which is processing.
