CONTRIBUTING TO HIGH FISH WELFARE STANDARDS

Land-based Atlantic salmon farm

SOLUTION

The fish handling includes two differentiated systems targeting two different size ranges

Land based farming requires high fish welfare standards, to maximize both productivity and product quality.

The fish handling includes two differentiated systems targeting two different size ranges; smolt/post-smolt and grow-out. Both systems are placed strategically to enable fish transfer among different tanks by pipe hose quick coupling and are integrated by two tanks and two power unit: In terms of fish welfare, both systems integrate constant flow at suction side for reducing the need of crowding and positioning the fish at the center of the pipe which enables smother transition along pipe matrix and avoids physical contact with pipe wall and fittings.

Graders and counters enable proper sorting and in the case of the grow-out station, a high-capacity grader is configured allowing the harvesting process at grow-out size. Simple and customized interface allows total control of the fish transfer operation.
